Western China Hit With 6.5 Magnitude Quake

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake shook western China 's Qinghai Province Monday, the U. S. Geological Survey reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake struck about 9:22 am, in the northern part of the province, located in the north of the Tibetan plateau.
