Being a father I just can't help but think that Obama used getting a dog as a bribe for the girls. I can just see him saying to them. Now if you girls can just hold on for just a little while longer Daddy with buy that puppy you have always wanted.
Okay, so that's a little cynical, but the girls Sasha and Malia are 7 and 10 years old respectively and as a father of an 8 and 9 year old this would probably work for me...:)
In his speech he says, "I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that's coming with us to the White House."
So what did they have to do to earn a puppy?
