Oh come on - you have to admit that it took a lot of guts for someone to appear on national television in front of millions of viewers in nothing but their bikini. That took guts man!
Who cares if it was to further her career in front of the cameras, you have to have some sort of angle -don't you? She may have fell flat on her face, but everyone knows her, even if they know her as 'Bikini Girl', they still know her.
You have to give the girl props for getting as much time as she did on some of the most expensive prime television on the planet. Advertising companies would pay hundreds and thousands of dollars for the equalivalent. All she had to do was to wear a Bikini and flaunt it! Beat you $10 dollars there will be a lot more 'Bikini Girl' wanna be's next season trying it on.
A good marketing idea or angle, just like that of Bikini Girl, Norman Gentle and even Tatiana can literally be worth thousands.
