8 & 9 Year Old Brothers Take The Internet By Storm.

With a wealth of information on the internet nowadays, it is becoming more and more relevant for children to participate in online communities.
Some might say that it is irresponsible for a parent to let their child surf the internet unsupervised, and I guess I would have to agreed to an extent, however I feel that parents should ensure that they don’t shelter their children too much so that it hinders their intellectual development.
There is much to learn on the internet and the resources are unlimited. You can just about find anything you want on any topic you want. And although the information is available online it does take considerable practice to type in the right keywords that will bring you back the best results.
So my view on the matter is to assign small online tasks to your child and let them carry out the task to completion, this way you know exactly what they are doing online and you can check the results once they have finished.
Okay, so I assigned my 8 year old and 9 year old sons a task and that was to start building their own blog on blogger.com
What I am finding is that in order for their time online to be productive they really should start off by documenting on a piece of paper what they want to blog about.
Anyway, here are there website Jacob’s and Jackson.
So, it’ll be interesting to see how they get on over the upcoming months.

Original Halloween Costumes

Original Halloween Costumes.
Coming up with an original halloween costume can be difficult, given that it seems that just about every conceivable costume idea has been done. But here are a few ideas.
Dressing as Jet Li’s character from The Mummy 3 isn’t scary, but it could be difficult trying to find a costume. Lots of detail in there.

Jet Li from the movie The Mummy 3.
However, you could maybe mix and match costumes. Here are a few.
Then again, if you want to go for truly terrifying you could always go as a character from Semi Pro . Dress as your favorite movie star character like Indiana Jones, Iron Man or the Hulk to name a few while getting the perfect pet Halloween costume for your dog. Dress as a haggis. Get a brown sack, open it at both ends, and cut out holes for your arms.
Original halloween costumes can be a hassle, but just think about the reasons why you are dressing up and it will become apparent that it doesn’t really matter, that what really matters is that you get involved, especially if you have young children. It can be a fun time for you and you children, and at the end of the day this is what really counts - right?
So forget about stressing yourself out this year and make it a memorable time for you and the family.
Oh and don’t eat too many sweets!

The Pick Up Artist On VH1

The Pick Up Artist
One of the most popular reality TV shows on the internet today.
So what is this hit television show all about?
As described in Wikipedia.
The Pick-up Artist is an American reality show on VH1 which focuses on a group of nine male contestants who have historically been unsuccessful in love and relationships learning the art of the “pickup” as taught by seduction artist Mystery (Erik von Markovik), and his wingmen, Tara and Matador. In eight episodes, Mystery teaches the contestants with guidance and training to meet potential mates in various locations, such as coffee shops and night clubs. The contestants of the show compete with each other through a series of challenges. Most of the challenges on the first season involved picking up women in different situations, such as on a bridge during the day or in a nightclub. Some of the challenges were more novel, such as the second to last challenge where the men had to pick up a stripper, described by Mystery as “the ultimate challenge”.
The first season began on August 6, 2007, and aired weekly until the series finale on September 24, 2007. It took place in Austin, Texas.
The second season began on October 12, 2008.

I was doing some keyword research the other day and came across the keyword term mycokerewards. So I did a little bit of research into the keyword and found out that folks in the US find the topic extremely interesting. In fact they seem to more interested in My Coke Rewards than a lot of other pressing subjects.
Is the US more interested in mycokerewards
Google searches wanting more information on the keyword term mycokerewards seems to be out-playing search terms for the present “recession” crisis in the US , “Sarah Palin” and even “Obama”.
Check out this Google graph below. This was for the last 7 days.

If you’re not familiar with the term My Coke Rewards (like me), then here is an explanation from Wikipedia.
My Coke Rewards is a customer loyalty marketing campaign from ePrize for the Coca-Cola soft drink. Customers enter codes from specially marked packages of Coca-Cola products into a website, or after signing up for this program, customers can enter codes “on the go” throught texting on cell phones. These codes are converted into virtual “points” which can in turn be redeemed for various prizes or sweepstakes entries.[1]
So, why are people so interested in My Coke Rewards?
I don’t know.
If you do, then why not add a comment below.
And while you’re thinking about it, check out this video….interesting little fellow. Cashed in his My Coke Reward points for a mag.

The Force Unleashed Release Date ( Star Wars )
October 15, 2008 by
frankls · Leave a Comment

The Force Unleashed is the first next-generation game developed internally at LucasArts, and will be available on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. All will feature the same storyline, with opportunities to unleash the Force in devastating new ways.
The Force Unleashed is all about taking these powers, learning how to use them then letting them rip. Because Lucasarts has chosen to cater down for the widest possible audience a little hack and slash action with your lightsabre still goes a long way, but the real excitement comes when you play smarter, exploring how your powers can be wielded to wreck the people and environment around you.And the game positively encourages you to do exactly that. The Force Unleashed is that raw, vengeful,?episode?of the series that I think would have been great in?Episode?III. Vader’s secret apprentice, Starkiller, is such a great character, who serves Vader blindly, and most importantly, knows it. The Force Unleashed is a game beset with so many problems that it?s difficult to see the half decent game buried beneath a surface of mediocrity. The story is genuinely enjoyable with some excellent voice acting and facial animation throughout, and sits comfortably between Episodes 3 and 4.
Game director, Haden Blackwell and his team of writers carefully crafted an original story that eventually garnered GEORGE LUCAS’ approval for canonization! This new apprentice, Starkiller, is tasked with helping to complete “The Great Jedi Purge.”.Starkiller takes use of the Force to never-before-seen levels and in so doing provides great opportunities for gamers to be visually stunned as they proceed through the game on their Xbox 360, Playstation 2, 3, PSP, Nintendo Wii or DS. Gamers got Knights of the Old Republic, but that was an isolated product that took place in the universe — not the core storyline — and was only playable by Xbox and PC owners. The prequel trilogy was much more mainstream, but ask any serious Star Wars fan what they thought of Episodes I through III, and you’ll likely get an eye roll before anything else. Gamers get the chance to step into the patent-leather boots of Darth Vader himself in the game’s opening level. The sight of Vader calmly striding across a busy battlefield, lifting enemies into the air, then tossing them into a nearby abyss, brings a double shot of gravitas back to the Star Wars universe.
